Do you have an old instrument lying unused in a cupboard or the loft?
Are you at a loss as to how to go about setting it up and where to get reeds, music, tuition, etc?
Instruments can be hired safely or bought at a reasonable cost whilst observing safe procedures.
I can help with advice on the best place to order reeds, which starter tutor books are worth buying and how to set up that long lost instrument that is just gathering dust.
If you need to buy an instrument I can advise on the pitfalls, the best instruments to look at and those to avoid!
2nd hand instruments cost a lot less than new ones and can be bought easily and safely on-line.
My experience over many years has been that on-line beginner lessons are a great way to start. This is especially true if a parent or carer is able to be involved. I am very happy to give you lessons as well. This might be an opportunity to learn a new skill or revive an old one, and will certainly make your child smile as well as creating a further sense of interaction!
At the moment, with so much being done at home and perhaps more time to practice, it is actually possible to learn faster than usual.
As a fully DBS certified teacher, I regularly teach pupils in Europe, Hong Kong and Latin America as well as the UK. Teaching in different time zones is not a problem and means that wherever you live in the world, you can learn a wind instrument securely, safely and with expert tuition.
