I always aim to make lessons as fun and happy as possible.
My wonderful students never fail to make me smile, laugh and be inspired by their incredible take on life. Let’s try to maintain that joy for living, whilst we come to terms with some very new ways of seeing the world and navigating through it.
I always try to avoid the worrying aspects of contemporary life and to help pupils maintain good wellbeing through music. I look forward to seeing my pupils and hope that they are equally keen to share their work, learning and ideas with me.
Lessons will always be more than just about practice, scales, etc. Group recordings provide an essential sense of being part of something and a way of making the social aspects of music happen even in these difficult times.
It is important to reassure pupils and parents that this can work over a longer period of time and that learning can be progressive and fun, even in lockdown.
